About the Client
This permanent opportunity is with a respected longestablished primary care clinic located in the heart of Toronto. Position Details
- Position:Medical Office Assistant (MOA) / Medical Receptionist
- Location: Roncesvalles /West Toronto area
- Schedule:Monday to Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM plus 1 Saturday a month
- Employment Type:Fulltime Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Services:Greet and assist patients warmly creating a friendly and respectful atmosphere.
- Appointment Coordination:Schedule confirm and manage patient appointments using OSCAR EMR.
- Front Desk Management:Handle incoming phone calls emails and patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Medical Records:Accurately update and maintain patient information in the EMR system; familiarity with Apple devices is an asset.
- Administrative Duties:Perform filing data entry and process thirdparty requests (insurance legal offices).
- Billing Support:Assist with thirdparty billing and invoice preparation according to clinic policies.
- Inventory Management:Monitor and replenish medical and office supplies; manage vaccine inventory following Public Health protocols.
- Team Collaboration:Support physicians and healthcare staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical officefamily practice or primary care clinic setting.
- Proficiency withOSCAR EMR; experience withApple computers preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices is an asset.
