Job Description
Project Manager / Estimator Heavy Civil Construction
- Location: Elk River MN
- Employment Type: FullTime Direct Hire
Summary
Our client is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join their team! This is a fulltime highimpact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment and is passionate about delivering successful profitable heavy civil construction projects. The company focuses on Earthwork Demolition Utilities and Specialty Contracting for both public and private sector clients across the Midwestern United States.
Responsibilities

Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

Prepare detailed cost estimates and project proposals for public and private sector bids

Review and analyze blueprints specifications and project documents to determine scope and cost

Coordinate with field crews subcontractors and vendors to ensure efficient project

Track project budgets schedules and progress to ensure goals are met

Conduct regular site visits to assess needs progress and compliance
-
Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business
Requirements
-
5 years of experience in heavy civil construction including both estimating and project management

Proven background in Earthwork Demolition Utilities or related scopes of work

Strong knowledge of construction documents specifications and project sequencing

Proficiency with estimating and project management software

Excellent communication and organizational skills
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within crossfunctional teams
Education/Certification Requirements

Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field preferred
