Senior Managers in our Washington National Tax practice have the following responsibilities with respect to their specific areas of subject matter expertise:
- Consulting with clients and client engagement teams including leading IRS and state examination defense for subject matter issues
- Providing technical process and strategic leadership for specialty practice teams in the field
- Generating thought leadership through tax alerts articles and other content
- Liaising with Treasury IRS and Congress with a focus on monitoring developments
- Leading internal knowledge sharing including the development and delivery of training
- Developing client service offerings service ideas tools and best practices
- Ensuring a focus on tax quality and client service excellence
- Minimum of 10 years experience focusing on energy and/or excise tax in the national office of a large firm a national tax credits and incentives practice of a large firm IRS National Office law firm or industry
- BS/BA degree in accounting
- CPA or JD
- Masters in Taxation or LLM (Taxation)

At RSM an employees pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including but not limited to education skills work experience certifications location etc. As such pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $137700 $276700Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
