Hey there! Were Black Propeller one of thefastestgrowing digital marketing agencies in the US. We create innovative PPC advertisingstrategies for our expanding client base and we have a blast doing it.

Were currently looking for a full time Paid Search Manager to join our growing team.

Role Summary

A Paid Search Manager oversees a client portfolio with a minimum of 5 accounts leading account strategy collaborating on optimization and managing small to largescale social campaigns. They mentor new team members meet promotion standards and excel in PPC strategy specializing in various industries. Effective communication delegation and proactive account management are key strengths.


Key Responsibilities (Responsibilities & expectations include but are not limited to:

  • Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of primarily Tier 2 fee clients ensuring they meet MRR and retention rate targets under the supervision of the Active Manager.

  • Account Strategy Leadership: Lead the strategy for clients under direct management working closely with mid to seniorlevel Account Managers.

  • Campaign Optimization: Collaborate with Paid Media Specialists and Coordinators on optimization tasks including routine optimizations campaign builds and data analysis.

  • Paid Media Expertise: Able to Build and manage small digital media campaigns for clients under direct management utilizing the Paid Social department for larger initiatives.

  • Issue Resolution: Escalate poor account performance or client relations to immediate management and actively seek support.

  • Professional Development: Continuously build upon your knowledge skills and expertise to improve account strategy analytical technical skills and client relationship management. Meet promotion standards and contribute to team thought leadership.


Core Skills (Hard & Soft Skills include but are not limited to:

  • Paid Search Expertise: Mastery of paid search advertising platforms specializing in Google Ads and proficiency in various industries.

  • Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead account strategy and collaborate with mid to seniorlevel Account Managers.

  • Campaign Optimization: Proficiency in optimizing campaigns including routine optimizations campaign builds and data analysis while working with Paid Media Specialists and Coordinators.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments and demonstrating an understanding of the collaboration process.

  • Client Communication: Taking an active role in client calls effectively articulating performance and maintaining regular communication via email on supported accounts.

  • Portfolio Building: Initiating and building a portfolio of client accounts.

  • Thought Leadership: Contributing valuable insights and ideas to the teams accounts fostering a culture of shared knowledge and expertise.


KPIs (Include but are not limited to:

  • MRR Growth: Achieve 10 growth in Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) for the client portfolio.

  • Retention Rate: Maintain a rolling threemonth average retention rate of 80 or greater over a sixmonth period for the client base.

  • Campaign Performance: Continuously improve campaign performance by achieving key performance metrics including clickthrough rates (CTR) conversion rates and return on ad spend (ROAS).

  • Issue Resolution Speed: Timely escalation and resolution of poor account performance or client relations issues to immediate management with a focus on seeking support efficiently.

  • Professional Development Progress: Demonstrate continuous learning and professional growth by actively participating in training meeting promotion standards and contributing to team thought leadership.

  • Client Engagement: Actively engage with clients through participation in client calls effectively articulating performance and maintaining regular communication via email contributing to positive client relationships.

  • You have 1 years of experience directly managing PPC campaigns with monthly budgets exceeding 10k.
  • Youre confident leading strategy for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Youre an excellent communicator the builds and maintainsstrong relationships with clients.
  • Youre a strong writer a strength that comes through in all of your ad copy.
  • Youre passionate about digital marketing and always hungry to learn and improve.
  • You work hard but you like to have fun too.
