These roles also offer the opportunity for someone already working at a similar level to develop expertise in planmaking from a minerals and waste perspective. Minerals are essential for building homes and infrastructure and along with a transition to a circular economy this is a great time to get involved in these vital and interesting areas of landuse planning.
As a planning officer you will research policy and infrastructure issues and prepare reports with recommendations for project leads to use in planning documents utilising databases and GIS.
