Role

As an Approved Subcontractor engaged on specific projects bya Project Manager you will provide qualified licenced andcertifiedexpertise to assist in thesuccessful completion ofelectrical and mechanical installations in compliance with current legislationat food & drink manufacturing and parcel sortationfacilities throughout the UK alongside a team offellow technicians and labourers.

About You

Already an experiencedworkeryou will demonstrate your capabilities through submission of your technical qualifications and trade licences in addition to a portfolio/CV demonstratingyour time workingin a similar industrial sector.

  • Various client sites across the UK

Key Responsibilities

  • Install maintain modify and repair a variety of electrical or mechanical systems and equipment
  • Communicate and adopt safe systems of work (RAMS)
  • Observe the requirements of any Permit to Work issued by site Duty Holders
  • Follow efficient work procedures and techniques
  • Engage in the determination of work rotas and assignment of tasks
  • Assess tasks for completeness and report any issues or variations
  • Complete installation test reports and job documentation
  • Ensure all tools and equipment in use is certified and/or calibrated
  • Maintain positive relationships with client representatives and other third parties
  • Undertake specialist training as required and keep up to date with statutory and legislative requirements
  • Demonstrate and apply the principles of continuous improvement to achieve Best Practice

Job requirements

You will need

  • Evidence of your right to work in the UK
  • A validCSCS affiliated Health & Safety card (Mandatory)
  • A comprehensive toolkit for completing electrical/mechanical installations
  • Experience of working on own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • To be a team player and customer focused

Qualifications and Licences

  • MEWP safety training card IPAF 3a 3b or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Scaffold assembly training cardPASMA card(Desirable)
