Principal Planning Officer

Were looking for an experienced planner who can lead teams to deliver projects involved with sustainable waste management and use of minerals. Supported by a manager and dedicated team this will include taking a lead role in shaping and progressing the councils new minerals and waste plans.
Skills Knowledge & experience required
- Extensive experience in handling Minerals and Waste planning policy matters
- Experience managing policies at a senior level
- Ability to communicate effectively within a political context and at the management level
- Fully RTPIaccredited postgraduate degree
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the current and evolving UK planning system
- Project management experience as a project lead
- Experience managing junior planners
Senior Planning Officer

This role involves working closely with stakeholders and communities to prepare and monitor the strategy policies and site proposals for the extraction of minerals and management of waste.
Skills Knowledge & experience required
- Experience in Minerals and Waste planning policy
- Demonstrable experience of delivering successful projects
- Stakeholder management to enhance sustainable development
- Mentoring junior colleagues to shape the next generation of planners
- Ensuring compliance
- Play a pivotal role in shaping Wiltshire communities and the future landscape
- Fully RTPIaccredited postgraduate degree
