Job Description
A wellestablished company is seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead all procurement efforts related to medical supplies and equipment. This role involves sourcing highquality products managing vendor relationships negotiating contracts and ensuring timely costeffective purchasing to support operational needs. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the medical supply chain strong negotiation skills and a commitment to maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Responsibilities Include:
Procurement Leadership:
Oversee the entire purchasing process for medical supplies and equipment ensuring the timely delivery of highquality products.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the operational needs of the organization.
Vendor Management & Relationship Building:
Source and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality cost and delivery performance.
Contract Negotiation & Compliance:
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
Manage inventory levels ensuring an adequate supply of medical products without overstocking.
Work closely with other departments to forecast future needs and align purchasing strategies.
Cost Management & Optimization:
Ensure purchasing efforts are costeffective while maintaining product quality.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in the procurement process.
Ideal Qualifications:
Proven experience in purchasing and procurement preferably in the medical supply industry.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Deep understanding of the medical supply chain and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain optimization is a plus.
