Job Description
The Expedition School is seeking a dynamic Director of Business & Operations to join our leadership team and help drive the operational financial and facility success of our missiondriven charter school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee finance payroll and audits. Lead budgeting.
- Manage daytoday operations safety protocols and compliance
- Lead campus aesthetics vendor relationships and facility upkeep
- Lead enrollment marketing and outreach efforts
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Education and Board of Directors
- Support staff morale and school culture initiatives
- Lead transportation and food service systems
- Lead emergency and operational systems
- Create and refine operational systems that directly support instructional success and a thriving safe school culture
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- Strong background in operations finance and systems management
- Deep understanding of how great school systems and operations empower strong school culture teaching and learning
- Leadership experience in schools or nonprofits preferred
- Ability to manage large budgets compliance and crossfunctional teams
- Spreadsheet proficiency and operational system design experience a must
- Familiarity with charter school structures and state/federal education requirements a plus
