Job Description
Join us at Torch Technologies a forefront innovator in tech solutions as a Temporary Mechanical Engineer. This position is an excellent opportunity to apply education in a realworld setting. You will gain handson experience in mechanical engineering working alongside experienced engineers on impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to solve complex problems.
- Present research and findings in team meetings.
- Work with industrystandard tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with skilled tech professionals research leads and industry experts.
- Ability to work a temporary role at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Candidates with an expected graduation date of May 2025may still apply and be considered for the position.
- Understanding of mechanical systems tools and assembly processes.
- Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
- Familiarity with computeraided design (CAD) software for drafting and modeling mechanical components.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Adaptability to a fastpaced dynamic work setting.
- Passion for learning and growing in a techdriven environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering program or a related field at an accredited university.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design.
- Exposure to machine shop environments including an understanding of fabrication and machining processes.
