Secondary Agriculture Teaching Position and FFA AdvisorThe Highland CSD offers a fourday school week with competitive pay. Currently we are accepting applications for a full time Agriculture and FFA teaching position. We are a 1:1 Chromebook district grades 612 with a student body and staff committed to success. The Highland CSD is a small community committed to academic excellence through selfdiscovery and respect that offers a progressive PK12 education to approximately 600 students. District class sizes average 25 or less depending on enrollment. Highland Elementary (Grades: PK5 is conveniently located just 15 miles south of Iowa City in Riverside Iowa. Highland Secondary (Grades: 612 is just 7 miles south of the elementary off of Hwy 218. MISSION STATEMENTHighland Community School District supports all learners in pursuing continuous learning in a culturally responsive academic Under the general supervision of the Building Principal the classroom teacher facilitates student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students parents and administration regarding student progress expectations goals FUNCTIONSStructures a physical classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction and maximizes student that student conduct conforms with the schools standards and school district policies and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve an optimal learning atmosphere in the ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods to fit individual students needs including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as basic attendance accounting and administrative tasks as supervision as to improve competency by participating in personal and professional growth activities in conjunction with building and District work on a consistent and punctual and abides by District applicants may apply learn more about the Highland School District visit our websites:District websiteFacebookTwitter
