Location: Coventry
Rate: 3235 per hour
Job Type: Contract 6 months (outside IR35

Your Role: What Youll Do
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will:
Support the Lead Engineer in delivering highquality projects and product designs.
Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Creo 6.0 or higher.
Utilise PLM software ideally Windchill.
Manage Bill of Materials (BoM) CAD models and technical drawings with precision.
Engineer components & assemblies to meet cost weight and strength requirements.
Ensure material selection meets performance and costeffectiveness targets.
Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Assembly Feasibility (DFA) ensuring smooth production.
Work within ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards to maintain engineering excellence.
Collaborate crossfunctionally working with manufacturing and production teams.
What Youll Need to Succeed
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
Experience in Automotive Aerospace or Defence Engineering environments.
Expertise in 3D CAD modelling & engineering drawings (Creo/SolidWorks preferred).
Understanding of manufacturing techniques: welding machining composites fabrication.
Material selection knowledge to balance performance and cost.
Structural performance assessment & analysis techniques experience.
Handson engineering & workshop theory experience.
