Job Description
NEPEAN Longwall(adivision of NEPEAN) partners with its customers to design engineer integrate and support longwall equipment and systems. Located in Queensland & New South Wales NEPEAN Longwall offers the full suite of aftersales services enabling it to support products throughout its life cycle. The experienced committed and motivated team at NEPEAN Longwall has demonstrated their capability to deliver longwall equipment and system solutions over many years.
OurOpportunity
Due to exponential growth NEPEAN Longwall is currently seeking a Trainee Mechanical Designerto join our team. This opportunity is a fulltime permanent opportunity based in Mackay QLD.
You
- Creating component and assembly models based on technical specifications (Autodesk Inventor)
- Provide practical and engineered design solutions in consultations with lead engineers.
- Deliver designs according to required timeframes and in line with company procedures regulations and client standards.
- Liaison with all internal and external customers concerning drafting/engineering solutions.
- Involvement from concept to install including exposure to inhouse fabrication workshop.
- Demonstrate a high standard of personal safety and safe design practices.
Future opportunities within the group may also present for the right candidate.

To be considered for this opportunity the right person will have:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
- Exceptional design skills with the natural ability and initiative to solve problems.
- Excellent time management with a selfmotivating attitude.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- 3 years experience in a similair role.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Rights to work in Australia
