Job Description
Santa Sabina College is one of Australias leading P12 Independent Catholic schools employing more than 200 staff in academic and professional roles across our Strathfield and Southern Highlands campuses. We offer coeducation on our P4 Del Monte Campus and girls only on our 512 Santa Sabina Campus. Our outdoor education campus Tallong is located on 97 hectares in the Southern Highlands. Our Early Education Centre (Mary Bailey House) and Out of School Hours (OOSH) services are located in the grounds of the Primary (Del Monte) Campus.
Our Coaches are responsible for the coaching and supervision of students as part of the sports programs at Santa Sabina College supporting the Director of Sports and Cocurricular Activities in the coaching and skill development of students. The sports program incorporates four key components: Saturday/midweek competitions school sports clubs representative sport and College sports carnivals. The sports coach will work in a team and report to the relevant Sports Department Administrator.
The College is currently seeking coaches for the following sports to start in Term 1 2025.
- Volleyball
- Netball
- Touch Football
- Football
- Water Polo
- Badminton
- Basketball (Primary School)
The successful candidate will:
- support the Catholic Dominican Mission of the College
- have current coaching accreditation certificates
- have experience in playing the sport of interest
- maintain professional presentation and manner
- display excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skill
- support the processes for the recognition of student achievement in sport
- manage student participation records
- provide support to sports staff coaches umpires and convenors involved with students in the sports program
- collectively supervise the performance of students
- disseminate relevant information regarding Sports Programs at the College
- attend matches and training if and when required
- participate in external associations and sporting networks where appropriate
