Position Summary
Sports Performance Fellows are responsible for the development and administration of a sound strength and conditioning program for assigned sports (TBD) teaching of safe lifting and movement techniques and supervision of all assigned weight room and conditioning sessions consistent with departmental philosophy and methodology. Daily responsibilities include team or individual implementation of warm up team physical monitoring speed/agility development recovery sessions and athlete testing/evaluation. The position may be asked to support both team and coaching staff education specific to physical stress lifestyle management nutrition education and general health/wellness. This position will have both assigned oversight of teams and assist other teams in integration.
The Sports Performance Fellowship position reports directly to the Director of Sports Performance. The position will assist in maintaining compliance with all NCAA University and Division practices and regulations while contributing to the continual growth and development of the Universitys intercollegiate strength and conditioning program. The position works directly within the Pioneer Health and Performance umbrella and should encourage a team based approach behind the implementation of services for performance health wellness and sport psychology. The Sports Performance Fellow will embrace and model a positive coaching philosophy and associated techniques; insisting on a culture of respect and positive communication. The position will demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the principles of multiculturalism and diversity through hiring practices training and development programming campus collaborations or involvement and participation in university/divisional multiculturalism and diversity projects or initiatives.
This is a temporary nonbenefited position not to exceed 1000 hours in a calendar year.

Work Schedule
The duration of this temporary position is from September 1 2025 to May 31 2026. Hours will vary within the Sports Performance department depending on varsity teams practices and games.

Compensation
The monthly stipend for this position is $1425.92.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
