VDOTs Fredericksburg District has exciting an opportunity available in its Residency Administration Department. We are seeking qualified candidates to fill a Residency Maintenance Program Coordinator vacancy. This position will assist the Fredericksburg Residency by monitoring maintenance related programmatic activities to ensure performance goals are met. They will ensure highquality data entries schedules plans and maintenance work are consistent with established guidance directives schedules and budgets.
Required skills for job & position:
Knowledge of highway maintenance methods practices and equipment
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and competing priorities
Skill in collecting and analyzing data to create and maintain reports and records
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Knowledge of the policies and procedures related to assigned program areas
Skill in the use of computers and software applications to include MS Office MS Excel and webbased systems
Ability to organize with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others exercising sound judgement
Ability to compile and analyze information in various formats and prepare reports and letters
Ability to research problems recommend solutions and make sound decisions
Ability to interpret and apply agency policies and regulations
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers
Skill in providing and promoting good customer service to internal and external customers
Knowledge of operations related to assigned program area
Skill in operating computers and software applications including automated financial database and specialized programmatic software
Minimum Qualifications
Valid drivers license
Experience tracking costs and preparing reports
Skill in the use of computers and software applications
Ability to gather data conduct research and create reports and correspondence
Ability to adapt to a fastpaced environment especially during emergency operations
Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
Knowledge of highway maintenance methods practices materials and equipment
Ability to schedule plan and monitor work activities
Skill in providing and promoting good customer service to internal and external customers
Additional Considerations
A combination of training experience or education in roadway maintenance or construction
Erosion and Sediment Control Certification
Experience and knowledge in the use of engineeringbased or mapping software applications

This position is classified as designated to emergency operations and may be required to work outside of normal work hours on weekends and holidays during emergency situations which may include but are not limited to inclement weather disaster response and emergency operations to ensure the safety of the traveling public.
