This role will present an opportunity to improve financial controllership processes for the Procurement Finance and Engineering teams.
As a Finance Manager you will play a critical role in AWS Supply Chain Finances FP&A and Month End Close (MEC) processes where you will work across the entire AWS Supply Chain Finance organization to Dive Deep into variances and leverage your superb communication skills to share insights to executive leadership to shape strategic decisions. You will own the planning and tracking of AWS Supply Chains Opex to provide financial controllership and support for business expansion.
Key job responsibilities Own Supply Chain Finances FP&A and Month End Close (MEC) process from end to end ensuring variances are tracked down and insightfully explained to executive management (finance and business). Earn Trust across AWS Infrastructure Finance and partner FP&A teams to learn the business. Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Challenge existing processes and Invent and Simplify to enable FP&A to scale with AWS ambitious global growth. Perform control activities to support Amazons Governance Risks and Compliances (GRCs) Develop ways to scale and automate existing opex tracking processes. Think big on solutions to eliminate manual processes. Ad hoc analysis requests. Working with ambiguous data and turning it into insight and information.
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience 4 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience 4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience MBA or CPA Knowledge of SQL/ETL Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards) Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
