Datawarehouse Developer SQL ETL London (hybrid / remote)

The role:
The right candidate would be an experienced Microsoft data warehouse developer (SQL Server SSIS SSAS) who can work both independently and as a member of a team to deliver enterprise class data warehouse solutions and analytics platforms.
This role will primarily involve working on change initiatives (some of which will be regulatory in nature) and Production support. We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in data warehousing who can work closely with the existing team to successfully deliver the requirements set out in the strategic roadmap.
Essential Core Technical Experience:
- 5 to 10 years extensive experience in SQL Server data warehouse or data provisioning architectures
- Advanced SQL query writing & SQL procedure experience.
- Experience developing ETL solutions in SQL Server including SSIS & TSQL
- Experience in Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server Management Studio SSIS SSAS SSRS).
- Experience of data/system integration and a strong ability to identify dependencies.
- Sound knowledge of MS Excel & VBA
- Knowledge and exposure to Insurance Businesses and/or other Banking and Finance domains.
- Exposure to DW development practices (code & configuration management build processes)
And the nice to haves:
- Jira Confluence MS Teams or similar collaboration tools
- Exposure to BI reporting toolsets
- Understanding of Agile principles
- Demonstrable experience in mentoring or supporting the development of team members
- Azure SQL DB Data Factory Data Lake Logic apps Data Bricks (Spark SQL) and/or Snowflake experience is advantageous.
