Join our headspace Adelaide team and make a difference in the lives of young people aged 1225. In this senior clinical role youll provide mental health assessment care coordination and evidencebased therapeutic support for young people with mild to complex needs including those at heightened risk.

Youll work closely with a multidisciplinary team including GPs psychiatrists and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated youthfriendly care. This role also includes leadership responsibilities such as clinical supervision mentoring and supporting service development while maintaining collaborative relationships with community and sector partners.

Experience Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in the area of youth mental health
  • Relevant professional development.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience in delivery of cognitive behaviour therapy and other evidencebased interventions for young people with mental illness.

Qualification and Other Requirements:

  • Drivers Licence
  • Current or willing to obtain a Working with Childrens Check (WWCC)
  • Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline including social work psychology or mental health nursing*
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body. Social workers are required to be eligible for full membership with AASW. Psychologists mental health nurses and occupational therapists are required to have full registration with AHPRA.

Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist

  • Approved Masters or equivalent in psychology with experience of two 2 years or more in clinical mental health settings preferably community based.
  • Registered as a psychologist with AHPRA.

Clinical Psychologist

  • To be recognised as a clinical psychologist personnel must meet requirements to have practice endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in specialist area of practice of clinical psychology.

Mental Health Nurse

  • Mental Health Nurses must be accredited with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
  • Experience of two 2 years or more in clinical mental health settings preferably community based.

Social Worker

  • Accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Experience of two 2 years or more in clinical mental health settings preferably community based.

Occupational Therapist

  • Registered as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
  • Approved degree from a recognised School of Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience of two 2 years or more in clinical mental health settings preferably community based.
