The role
The Senior System Engineer Air Traffic Management (ATM) will contribute to the ATM engineering team in the tender and delivery phases of ATM projects. They will act as the interface between ATM product design authority system developers Saabinternal project and support teams and the customer in order to deliver product improvements and projectspecific tasks.
They will undertake requirements analysis develop requirement specifications and participate in the design and validation of new solutions. To be successful in this role they will be highly motivated think critically to solve problems and have a keen interest in working with complex software systems preferably within the ATM domain.
Further the successful candidate will:
- Contribute to the realisation of ATM projects
- Map customer requirements to system solutions based on Saabs ATM product portfolio
- Coordinate with product software development and parameterisation teams to specify design develop and verify customerspecific solutions
- Develop external interface specifications system design documents and acceptance test documents
- Present at customer requirements reviews and design reviews
- Configure integrate and test the system in factory and on site
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- 5 years Air Traffic Management domain expertise
- Indepth knowledge of infrastructure network network security XML and Linux
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies
- Systems Engineering process including requirements derivation management system design integration test and validation relating t ATM software
- Reviewing and interpreting specifications interface documentation and drawings
- Resolution of complex technical issues and managing them within project cost time and quality constraints
- Writing clear and precise technical reports
- Welldeveloped verbal communication skills and the ability to work with others in a team environment
- Whole of capability/systems issues including consideration of ATM Safety Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) cybersecurity and system supportability
