You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a Strategic Programmes Manager to design implement and manage programmes that advance our Publishing Strategy Goals and core Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) priorities. This is a fixedterm position for up to 12 months covering maternity leave. This position offers the opportunity to lead our Open Access transition programme while collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation. You will establish frameworks and KPIs to track delivery and ensure the progress of our Open Access strategy against agreed timelines.
Youll develop detailed project plans manage interdependencies between projects and coordinate resources across departments. Working closely with the Publishing Strategic Steering Group youll provide regular updates on programme progress risks and outcomes. As a member of the Publishing Senior Management team youll collaborate with the RSCs portfolio management office following established methodologies and best practices.
The position requires monitoring industry developments and representing our Journals business at key external events and conferences. Youll ensure productive twoway communication with all stakeholders while controlling programme schedules costs and risks to agreed quality standards. At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office you will be able to work from home within the UK with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role.
In this role it is expected that you will attend the office approximately twice a month. You will be expected to attend more frequently during your onboarding period. If you need flexible working arrangements please outline this in your application.
