Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Modeling & Simulation Python Developer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in assessing the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This critical role will involve working in a distributed HardwareIntheLoop (HWIL) simulation environment contributing to Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities MDS Ground Test (GT) events and MDS Flight Test support. The focus will be on handson support for MDAs distributed software threat simulation integrating current and future software capabilities into the OSF Framework.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automating tasks analyzing data and supporting simulations within the HWIL environment.
- Perform loading configuration and setup of framework software.
- Conduct benchmark tests and troubleshoot hardware/software issues analyzing anomalies and providing includes debugging and troubleshooting existing code scripts and tools.
- Develop software analysis plans procedures and reports.
- Analyze HWIL architecture performance for MDS Ground Tests Flight Tests (PreMission and PostFlight Reconstruction) and CDI activities.
- Support simulation integration analysis data analysis interface analysis and simulation verification and validation.
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations summarizing analytical work for engineering reviews.
- Establish requirements for evaluation tools and processes.
- Develop analytical tools to support the test planning process.
- Coordinate analytical results within the MDS community.
- Participate in and present findings at working group meetings coordination meetings peer reviews and other technical interchanges.
Requirements
- Bachelors degreein Engineering Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited university.
- 2years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Proficiency in Python scripting language.
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with government prime contractor and supporting contractor personnel.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proactive and selfmotivated.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of HWIL architecture infrastructure including truth presentation utilizing DIS CTI and/or GTISS adapters.
- Familiarity with MDA Ground Test CONOPS.
- Knowledge of EO/IR systems.
- Understanding of threat simulation and modeling for missile defense systems.
