Job Description
Our client a wellknown FMCG company in Durban Highway area is looking for a Financial Accountant for a shortterm maternity cover contract. The ideal candidate will be proactive highly organized and able to manage multiple financial responsibilities effectively.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation and management of various budgets
- Preparing and compiling monthly operations reports
- Handling calculations for management fees dividends and taxes
- Managing endofmonth financial packs
- Conducting monthly cost analysis and processing for factory and distribution expenses
- Maintaining and updating key schedules including Waste R/kg tonnage and gainshare
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Managing the Profit Estimate File
- Updating and completing distribution and closure income statements
- Handling capital expenditure (Capex) including asset capitalization sping and depreciation tracking
- Processing and reconciling HPs maintaining the HP schedule
- Preparing and processing financial journals
- Maintaining general filing and housekeeping tasks
- Assisting with any additional adhoc tasks as required
Key Requirements:
- Financial degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience
