Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently seeking a Manager to join our Edmonton South office. This role reports directly to the Partners and will be a careerfocused individual that is excited to join a growthoriented entrepreneurial firm. This individual will be an integral part of our continued growth.
The Role
- Manage and review compilation review and taxengagements independently and effectively.
- Deliver complete product to the Partner on a timely basis.
- Demonstrate understanding of clients industry marketplace business trends key performance drivers technical and industry developments and proven ability to communicate such to the client.
- Delegate tasks to all levels of staff. Providing guidance and training for staff members to enhance their career development within the firm.
- Foster positive working relationships with client personnel and coworkers.
- Responsible for managing client relationships winning new work and managing quality of work completed.
- Responsible for managing client portfolios.
- Mentor and coach senior and staff accountants.
What You Will Bring
- CPA designation with 5 years of public practice experience
- Sound knowledge of the CPA Canada Handbook review procedures and tax compliance
- Prior experience in the industries our firm currently supports is considered an asset
- Excellent project management time management and leadership skills
- An innovative thinker comfortable in a team and clientfocused environment
- Selfstarter able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal technical and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail
- Problem solver with solid analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with changing deadlines
- Experience in CaseWare/Caseview and TaxPrep is an asset
