KS2 Reading Lead Role Highlights:
Take ownership of the KS2 reading curriculum as the KS2 Reading Lead
Deliver engaging and effective KS2 lessons with a focus on literacy progress
Monitor and drive attainment through strategic planning and targeted interventions
Collaborate with staff and SLT to ensure cohesive curriculum delivery across year groups
Work closely with parents to promote reading culture both in and out of school
Support and develop colleagues in reading provision and pedagogical best practice
Contribute to behaviour management in line with the schools wellestablished policy
Aspire to future leadership with structured guidance and development support
We are looking for a KS2 Reading Lead who:
Holds QTS and a 1:1 degree from a top 20 UK university
Demonstrates excellent behaviour management and classroom presence
Has a creative and proactive approach to curriculum leadership
Shows experience or ambition to progress to senior leadership
Communicates confidently and professionally with staff students and parents
Is based in or willing to work in Barking & Dagenham
