Our outstanding school in Barking is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual preferably a teacher of English Maths or Science to take on the rewarding role of Head of Year. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive and aspirational culture within your year group ensuring all students thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pastoral care and academic progress of a designated year group.
- Work closely with students parents and staff to address individual needs and challenges.
- Analyse student data to identify trends and implement targeted interventions.
- Promote a strong sense of community and belonging within the year group.
- Line manage form tutors and support their professional development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of schoolwide pastoral initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience of effective teaching at secondary level with a preference for core subject specialism.
- Strong understanding of pastoral care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication problemsolving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire both students and adults.
