Job Description
Shape the future of Geography education at our prestigious independent school in Hackney! Lead our passionate department.
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Geography Teacher with a proven track record of leadership to become our next Head of Geography. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team develop an engaging curriculum and inspire a love of the world in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong academic and strategic leadership for the Geography department.
- Develop and implement an innovative and challenging Geography curriculum across all key stages.
- Lead manage and inspire a team of Geography teachers.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department.
- Oversee assessment tracking and reporting of student progress.
- Contribute to the wider academic and pastoral life of the school.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Geography or a closely related field.
- Significant experience teaching Geography at secondary level including ALevel.
- Proven leadership experience and a clear vision for Geography education.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A passion for Geography and inspiring young people.
