Your Responsibilities
As an experienced Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles) your role will include:

• Delivering highquality textiles lessons across Key Stages 35 including GCSE and ALevel.

• Developing and refining schemes of work focused on practical design skills sustainability and innovative textiles.

• Supporting student progress through effective assessment feedback and targeted differentiation.

• Contributing to extracurricular projects such as fashion shows design competitions and clubs.

• Working closely with colleagues to ensure consistency creativity and ambition across the department.

• Acting as a subject lead within your area of strength supporting less experienced Design and Technology Teachers (Textiles) when required.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking a Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles) who:

• Holds QTS and a relevant degree in Textiles Fashion or Design.

• Has significant experience teaching textiles at secondary level including ALevel.

• Can demonstrate a strong track record of successful student outcomes.

• Is confident in leading engaging practical lessons that develop skills and creativity.

• Works well as part of a team of Design and Technology Teachers (Textiles) and contributes positively to department life.

• Is enthusiastic about supporting the next generation of textile designers and makers.
