Job Description
An ambitious and experienced Head of Mathematics is required to lead a successful department within an Outstanding Mixed school in Enfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction and development of mathematics education across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 inspiring both students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and management for the Mathematics department ensuring highquality teaching and learning across all key stages.
- Develop and implement an engaging and challenging Mathematics curriculum that fosters a love of mathematical inquiry and problemsolving.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and attainment of students in Mathematics implementing effective intervention strategies.
- Line manage and support the professional development of teachers within the Mathematics department.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Mathematics.
- Proven experience of successfully teaching Mathematics at the secondary level including ALevel.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and a clear vision for curriculum development.
- Excellent leadership communication and organisational skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
