Vice Rector of Academics
Location: Jakarta Indonesia
Job Overview:
A leading private university in Jakarta is seeking a Vice Rector of Academics to provide strategic leadership in academic development ensuring excellence in teaching research and institutional growth. This role will work closely with the Rector and senior leadership to drive academic transformation maintain highquality standards and strengthen the university’s national and international reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide vision and leadership to all academic units fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching research and service.
- Develop and oversee strategic academic plans performance benchmarks and quality assurance measures.
- Lead faculty and university departments in setting aspirational academic standards to position the university as a leading institution.
- Monitor academic performance and provide reports to the Rector and senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations and the implementation of outcomebased education.
- Enhance curriculum quality by integrating globally recognized content and best practices.
- Strengthen international collaboration working closely with the Vice Rectors of International Affairs Research and Student Affairs.
- Oversee faculty operations budgeting and financial management in coordination with the CFO.
- Lead external engagement initiatives representing the university in academic industry and government forums.
Requirements:
- Doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent professional doctorate) in a relevant field.
- Proven academic leadership with national and/or international recognition.
- Strong understanding of higher education policies international academic trends and student engagement strategies.
- Experience in forming and managing international partnerships.
- Excellent strategic planning organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
