The Computer Operator is responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems handling data entry tasks supporting staff and faculty with technical needs ensuring the smooth operation of institutional software and maintaining records. The role requires excellent technical skills attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve ITrelated issues efficiently.
Accurately enter and update student faculty and institutional data in management systems.
Maintain digital records of attendance examination results and academic reports.
Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Provide firstlevel technical support for staff and faculty regarding hardware software and internet issues.
Set up and maintain computer systems printers projectors and other peripherals in classrooms and labs.
Coordinate with IT vendors or technical support teams for advanced troubleshooting.
Operate and manage college software systems such as ERP Learning Management Systems (LMS) and biometric attendance systems.
Generate academic and administrative reports using available software.
Provide assistance in uploading content or examination materials to the LMS or internal portals.
Assist with official communications circulars and documentation as required.
Coordinate with various departments to collect and consolidate data for reports or presentations.
Perform regular backups of institutional data to ensure safety and quick recovery.
Monitor system performance and conduct routine checks to prevent downtime.
Maintain antivirus and security software updates.
Help with the preparation and printing of question papers hall tickets and mark sheets.
Assist in tabulating and compiling examination results.
Support digital recordkeeping of internal and external exam data.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of internet tools email systems and document formatting.
Experience with educational ERPs or student management systems is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communication in English and Telugu.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Monday to Saturday
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (timings can be adjusted as per institutional norms)
