Job Description

Reporting to the Tax Manager the Tax Associate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Tax Department. This includes involvement in tax return preparation monthend close audit support and special projects. The Tax Associate will also contribute to the development of best practices and procedures in compliance with internal accounting and SOXrelated policies. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with personnel across all levels of the organization possess a working knowledge of best practices in a corporate tax environment and seamlessly organize and track various tax projects.

To succeed as Privias Tax Associate you will be focused on optimizing department processes and building strong relationships across the business. You will be a knowledgeable analytical and decisive professional with excellent communication and leadership skills. This is a dynamic role within a rapidly growing company that requires active participation in daytoday control activities within the tax process area.

  • Assist and support the quarterly corporate income tax provision process
  • Assist with the processing and delivery of all partnership and related income tax returns for the organization (including K1 distribution)
  • Assist and support the production of Privias corporate state and federal income tax returns
  • Support accurate and timely monthend close procedures for all tax matters
  • Draft response letters to IRS and state notices
  • Participate in tax registration events
  • Prepare other tax returns as needed including sales tax business license franchise property and gross receipts tax returns
  • Participate in strategic tax initiatives and conduct federal state or local tax research
  • Assist with external and/or internal audit requests and other projects
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for process improvements technology driven solutions and automation and assisting with implementation of such efforts
  • Maintain accurate accounting files and records in accordance with organization business policies GAAP and internal control activities

Qualifications :

  • 1 years of public or corporate tax experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible preferred
  • Healthcare public company or public accounting experience a big plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with peers (customer focused) and crossfunctionally within the company
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or large ERP system a plus
  • Ability to meet internal and external deadlines in a fastpaced SOX compliant environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problemsolving skills including the ability to identify issues demonstrate resourcefulness and proactively develop creative solutions
  • Ability to work independently multitask and prioritize
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Selfmotivated and selfdirected with demonstrated ability to work well with others
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations

The salary range for this role is $70000 to $80000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical dental vision life and pet insurance 401K paid time off and other wellness programs). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience education and geographic location.
