Job Description
Purpose
The Associate Director Field Tools & Analytics is a strategic leadership role which applies consulting and communication skills to partner with AbbVie Patient Services (APS) Medical Affairs and Market Access Field leadership in the design and ongoing implementation of field tools. This role focuses collaborating with Field leadership to deliver impactful solutions that enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
The Associate Director is responsible for providing thought leadership and strategic direction on innovative solutions leveraging APS Medical and Market Access knowledge and deep connections with Field leaders to identify and capitalize on opportunities among key external stakeholders (including HCPs Accounts Patients). This position influences crossfunctional teams to create and onboard new analytic solutions and delivery platforms empowering field colleagues with Next Generation technology to operate more efficiently.
The position is a part of the Field Planning & Analytics Team which drives optimization of our field force size and structure. This position reports into the Director Enterprise and will lead a team of 4 managers in order to support field analytical tools philosophy and processes across all franchises.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Ownership
- Cocreates strategy and pulls through objectives to Field Tools.
- Lead creation and implementation of field tools including Curo Medical Dashboard FMPT MAT etc.
- Ownership and strategic thought partnership of capability/function to deliver innovative strategy and solutions for: reporting and new technology.
- Drive multiple complex projects balancing between shortterm and longterm objectives and managing the projects within budget and timelines. Leverage data analytics leadership skills and strong strategic mindset to optimize Field Tools.
- Stay current on trends and new developments in industry and enterprise solutions; serve as thought leader.
- Lead team on working with cross functional peers to understand and leverage best practices.
- Partner with Head of Field/Director level stakeholders on a regular basis to understand strategic and tactical issues review research plans and negotiate priorities. Provide teams with benchmarking reports and competitive intelligence across different AbbVie disease states.
- Effectively lead end to end vendor partnerships for the Enterprise team to support APS Medical and Market Access.
Leadership
- Lead develop and mentor a team of 4.
- Accountable for accuracy and timeliness of project as well as clarity of communication to team.
- Act as coach seeking ways to develop their team addressing their needs and goals; prioritize for the team and remove barriers for my team to achieve goals/advance initiatives.
- Stay current on latest innovations in therapeutic area and capability.
- Responsible for budget management and vendor/program management.
- Seeks ways to embrace constant innovation incremental or radical; engage with crossfunctional counterparts to improve identification of innovative solutions.
- Accountable for connection with other ADs on how capabilities/projects interact with others on own team across capabilities and COE/Verticals.
- Hold team accountable for implementing new technologies and initiatives.
Qualifications :
- BA BS degree is required.
- Minimum 8 years experience required. Problemsolving orientation; ability to work independently.
- Experience working with leadership to solve problems and identify/sell/implement solutions.
- Must exhibit proficiency commensurate with grade in the following competencies: strategic thinking problemsolving innovation collaborative partnerships across functions analytical capabilities leadership drive for results and communication for greater team effectiveness.
- Knowledgeable of a variety of PC programs (including but not limited to Excel PowerPoint Power BI).
- Demonstrates critical thinking and strong communication skills resulting in the ability to anticipate customer and business needs and address questions or issues.
- Demonstrates an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple yet compelling fashion.
- Learns fast grasps the essence and can change the course quickly where indicated Raises the bar and is never satisfied with the status quo; Embraces the ideas of others nurtures innovation and manages innovation to reality.
- Ability to develop indepth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry data and therapeutic area to resolve business problems more efficiently and effectively.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
