Job Description

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Field Services Tech I in the Street Department. The incumbent operates equipment such as trucks tractors and mowers and uses a variety of power and hand tools in maintaining City streets culverts rightofway storm sewers and other public property. This is an entrylevel position as the incumbent trains in preparation to test for and obtain an OK Commercial Class B license with Air Brakes endorsement. The incumbent is eligible to reclass to a Street Equipment Operator I upon receipt of this license. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Previous experience with street and mowing equipment including tractor mower and backhoe is desired. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma drivers license and be insurable. Must be at least 18 years old. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to preemployment reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
