Join the team! SARCOA is looking to hire a fulltime Program Assistant for SARCOAs Medicaid Waiver Department. SARCOA is the Southern Alabama Regional Council on Aging and we serve senior citizens disabled individuals and caregivers in seven counties: Barbour Coffee Covington Dale Geneva Henry and Houston. This role involves thorough documentation. Exceptional time management skills are necessary. Proficient computer skills are required to succeed in this position. The schedule for this role is MondayFriday 7:30 am 4:30 pm. This is an officebased position with no flexible compressed or remote workforce privileges.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and verifies Medicaid Waiver client service bills.
- Handles client billing questions or problems.
- Documents all client billing issues questions or concerns using narrative statements and other recordkeeping procedures.
- Communicates with organization leadership and Finance Department staff concerning client service problems or questions.
- Establishing and maintaining detailed reports and records.
- Narrating all actions and interactions in our program and other case management/care coordination systems.
Qualifications:
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one 1 year of work experience; prefer office experience with proficiency in EXCEL and data management.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Efficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maneuver complex situations.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
- Ability to travel and stay overnight as required.
- Ability to pass a preemployment background check and drug screen.
