The Role
As Security Project Engineer you will be responsible for the endtoend design and implementation of security solutions within clients. This will involve working extensively with our clients project management and presales teams to take the agreed design and make it a reality. The role offers a diverse experience and requires absolute delivery working under various conditions often unsupervised on site with the client.
Working as part of a virtual project team the project engineer would be responsible for the delivery and technical assurance of the entire implementation life cycle to deliver the agreed solution seamlessly. This may include design physical installation configuration commissioning testing sign off and final handover both with the client and internally.
Job requirements
Please note: The selected candidate must be eligible to obtain security clearance.
The following core technical skills are highly desirable for the successful candidate:
- A Proactive and selfsufficient individual with a strong desire to continuously learn and adapt in a fastevolving technology landscape.
- Solid experience with Cisco and/or Palo Alto security solutions across both design and deployment.
- A strong technical background working at a CCNP level of proficiency (though certifications are not a must).
- Experience deploying and working with Cisco ASA/FTD and/or Palo Alto firewall platforms including applicable management systems.
- Technical knowledge and deployment experience of Cisco ISE.
- Experience or knowledge of SASE/SSE such as Palo Alto Prisma Access Cisco Umbrella/Secure Access.
- Good verbal communications skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions to different audiences
While not essential the following skills would be a bonus for the successful applicant but we are happy to support development in these areas as necessary:
- Microsoft Azure and/or Entra ID knowledge/experience.
