Hybrid / Huntingdon The role will require you to work in the office 1 day a week
We are looking for a Test Analyst with experience in both manual and automated testing to join our engineering team on a fixedterm basis to cover maternity leave. In this role you will work collaboratively with the engineering team to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. While the role involves creating and maintaining automated test scripts using C# a significant portion of your responsibilities will focus on manual testing and converting manual test cases into automated ones.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute manual test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage and identify defects.
Design develop and maintain automated test scripts using C# for regression testing.
Collaborate with the engineering team to identify the best testing approaches and create test plans.
Write API tests using Postman to validate backend functionality.
Raise defects ideally in JIRA and communicate findings effectively with the team.
Convert manual test cases into automated test cases to enhance testing efficiency.
Maintain excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills to identify potential issues.
Contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement within an Agile or Scrum environment.
What Were Looking For:
Proven experience as a Software Test Analyst with a mix of manual and automated testing skills.
Experience with C# for automated testing.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
Excellent communication skills to effectively report defects and collaborate with the team.
Experience working within Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements in testing processes.
