Job Description

MDW is seeking candidates at a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level to provide Process & Policy Improvement and Management for the Department of Defense (DoD) Budget/Financial Analysis in support of our MDA client in Huntsville AL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate with Program office key leaders and stakeholders to understand current/future process & policy requirements

Observe program office operations document business processes including mapping to DoD and/or Agency policy and guidance and validate policies and processes adhere to program office implementation plans

Develop and maintain policies & procedures in accordance with DoD/MDA standards and governing documents

Identify root causes and blockers to process and recommend changes to policy process and procedures to eliminate bottlenecks

Develop and champion change initiatives from conception to adoption by developing and presenting briefing packages courses of actions and impact assessments

Support standardization of products processes policies and procedures in crossfunctional workspaces by representing Business Financial Manager in working groups and integrated product teams related to program office modernization

Serve as process and policy subject matter expert in system design reviews to validate design documents meet established business rules

Write new employee orientation manual and onboarding procedures

Create and execute training program of products processes policies and procedures for all new employees

Execute and recommend changes to Managers Internal Controls Program to improve program operations and risk posture

Education and Experience Requirements:

BS/BA in business or related field

15 years or greater of Process & Policy Improvement and Management experience

15 years or greater of developing writing and conducting training

15 years or greater of fiscal/financial policy experience

Strong knowledge of MS Office suite

Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)

The ability to work in a Team environment

Applicants selected must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance upon hire date

Desired Experience Requirements:

MS/MA in business or related field with 10 years or greater of DoD Financial Analyst Experience

Must Work independently and conduct strategic highlevel coordination activities.

Must be a selfstarter able to support multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Expert knowledge of MS Office
