Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering automotive parts to various locations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail the ability to navigate routes efficiently and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position will also assist in parts counter responsibilities as needed.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles including vans and trucks to transport parts to customers and vendors.
- Load and unload parts.
- Ensure timely delivery of parts while adhering to designated routes.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction during deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in inventory management by organizing and tracking parts in the warehouse as needed.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading deliveries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local area navigation is an advantage.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely including trucks and vans.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- A valid drivers license with a clean driving record is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
