Position Summary
Why Its a Great Opportunity:In this role you will manage the planning engineering design project management and construction management work associated with the preservation and improvement of wastewater treatment plants and supporting facilities. Your work will range from coordinating consultant contracts writing reports communicating with internal and external groups completing engineering calculations specification development and preparing plans in AutoCAD/Civil Sewer Division performs all the planning administration engineering construction management maintenance and operations necessary to run as a successful public utility.

Core Daily Responsibilities:
- Develops administers designs and inspects capital improvement projects which may include odor control facilities wastewater treatment facilities instrumentation and control systems electrical systems and other appurtenances.
- Studies analyzes and prepares engineeringrelated reports as required by state federal and local authorities.
- Reviews and recommends changes to consulting engineer prepared reports technical memorandums plans and specifications to meet County project requirements and standards.
- Calculates and verifies pay quantities for proper payment for contracted services reviews calculations and accuracy of submittals.
- Communicate regularly with maintenance and operations staff engineers and engineering technicians within the work group and groups outside the division.
- Prepares final bid packages; schedules and advertises projects for bid; prepares responses to requests for information; prepares necessary addendums during bidding process; prepares change orders and pay estimates and maintains accurate project level budget and expenditure reports.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
- Registration as an EngineerinTraining AND
- Seven years of progressively responsible experience related to the position is required.
- A bachelors degree from an ABET accredited program in civil engineering or a closely related field may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis up to four years.
