Job Description
Job Duties:
Preparation: Set up machines for production including cleaning calibration and ensuring safety features are working
Operation: Run machinery according to instructions and make adjustments as needed
Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance and troubleshoot issues that arise
Quality control: Check parts and output for quality and record any defects
Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Recordkeeping: Create and maintain records of production including activity logs and approved and defective units
Experience: Machining and well versed in print reading and using measuring equipment such as micrometer dial bore calipers and optical gage equipment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Previous experience operating machinery
Attention to detail
Understanding of production and plant processes
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Ability to work in a team
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
Ability to stand for long periods of time
