Your Impact
- Packing products using warehousing equipment such as pallet jacks or hoists.
- Create shipping paperwork and secure the labels to each shipment.
- Receiving material in Oracle and generating shipping paperwork accurately and promptly
- Moving and storing shipping inventory in its specified area in the warehouse
- Acting as the back up in shippers absence.
- Order necessary supplies for shipping department.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and taking part in regular cleaning and maintenance.
- Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
- Operating warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
Heres where youll demonstrate your proficiencies:
- Create labels and attach shipping related documents including dangerous goods forms CERS Certificates of Origin USMA Certificates Commercial Invoices Packing Slips Bill of Lading etc.
- Contact freight forwarder and determine best way to ship in terms of delivery time and cost.
- Follow up on all shipments to the arrival destination.
- Complete tracking sheet.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Detail Oriented
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prioritize work well under time pressure.
- Familiar with Incoterms.
- Must be able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 50lb.
- High School Diploma 1 year experience in a transportation warehouse or distribution environment preferred
- Domestic & international shipping experience. Oracle Experience Preferred
- Fluent in English
