Salary Range: $39060 $3255/month or $18.78/hourly). Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position has been determined to be eligible for overtime (nonexempt) under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Summary
The Facilities Services Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of State Classified Custodian I. The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive cleaning and support services for UCCS buildings. Building categories include academic nonacademic and administrative. Comprehensive cleaning areas include but are not limited to offices classrooms research laboratories restrooms health / wellness spaces recreation spaces resident halls and general interior and exterior public areas. Position also includes custodial support for campus scheduled and unscheduled functions. This position is dependent on the availability of auxiliary revenues funding.

Applicants must be a Colorado Resident.
One to Two years of custodial experience in large/high volume commercial buildings is preferred.
Demonstrated experience effectively working within a diverse population is a plus.
Excellent candidates will have one year or more experience in an Essential Personnel role.
Possesses a valid drivers license.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to kneel crouch crawl stoop and reach. Tasks may involve ascending or descending and maintaining balance. The employee will be exposed to hazards that include but are not limited to proximity to mechanical parts exposure to electric shock working high exposed places and exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Employee may also face exposure infectious materials/human blood or bodily fluids. Tasks may involve exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and or up to 20lbs of force frequently and or up to 10lbs of force constantly to move objects.
