Job Description

The Payroll Remediation Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll remediation projects. This includes identifying discrepancies ensuring compliance with Australian payroll regulations and implementing corrective actions to resolve payroll issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll management strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of Australian payroll laws and regulations.

Client:

  • Will win new work from existing clients bring new clients to the firm and introduce new services to meet client needs.
  • Able to give direction to multiple team members to organize and prioritize multiple tasks meeting critical deadlines.
  • Reviews and signs off advice and calculations before being sent to client.
  • Make Ryan Payroll a center of excellence for all Payroll and Employee Taxes that clients value.

Value:

  • Lead and manage payroll remediation projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct thorough payroll audits to identify discrepancies and noncompliance issues.
  • Develop and implement remediation plans to address payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian payroll laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to payroll staff on remediation processes and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of remediation projects to senior management.
  • Stay uptodate with changes in payroll legislation and industry best practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of payroll staff.
  • Assist clients to implement continuous improvement initiatives to prevent future payroll discrepancies.
  • Build develop and manage the Payroll Function.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in finance accounting business administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 57 years of experience in payroll management with a focus on payroll remediation.
  • Indepth knowledge of Australian payroll laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and data analysis tools.
  • Certification in Payroll Administration or Payroll Management is highly desirable.

Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully an individual must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • A valid drivers license is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position will be a Head of Service role with responsibility for all staff in the service line.
