Job Title: Service Repair Technician

Department: Aftermarket Service
Work Environment: Repair shop setting; safetyfocused handson workplace

Position Summary

The Service Repair Technician is a key member of the Aftermarket Service team responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical componentsprimarily motors and gearboxes. This role combines handson repair work with analytical root cause analysis and requires strong communication skills to effectively convey technical findings and recommended actions to audiences of varying technical aptitudes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose failures to identify root causes using structured troubleshooting methods
  • Generate clear concise technical reports with root cause analysis and recommended corrective actions
  • Repair motors gearboxes and related mechanical/electrical components
  • Communicate technical findings effectively to both internal teams and customers
  • Support and maintain 6S principles to promote a clean organized and efficient work environment
  • Follow and promote established safety standards in a repair shop environment
  • Document service and repair activities according to internal procedures
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership to improve department processes

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical devices
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to various audiences
  • Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation skills
  • Familiar with safe handling practices for low and highvoltage electrical equipment
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Associate degree or technical certificate in engineering industrial maintenance or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of formal education
  • Experience using precision measuring tools (e.g. micrometers calipers dial indicators)
  • SAP experience preferred
