Who We Are: Fisher Associates P.E. L.S. L.A. D.P.C is a multidisciplinary design services firm headquartered in Rochester NY with eight locations nationwide. The firm provides civil/site engineering transportation engineering electrical engineering landscape architecture architecture planning environmental surveying GIS construction inspection precast engineering and construction engineering services to public and private sector clients across numerous markets. All services are delivered through the firms signature Clientship philosophy which emphasizes not only customized innovative quality solutions but also an exceptional client experience driven by clear communication deep expertise and proactive client advocacy.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform wetland and watercourse delineations in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications for local state and federal environmental regulatory approvals.
  • Conduct wildlife habitat evaluations and support biodiversity assessments.
  • Carry out endangered and threatened species surveys ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
  • Assess environmental impacts and develop effective mitigation strategies and plans.
  • Monitor ecological restoration and mitigation sites to ensure compliance with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to environmental protection measures and permit conditions.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and maintain clear communication with state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support environmental compliance and project success.

Salary Range: $48000 $64000 annually


Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience qualifications/education and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Biology Ecology Natural Resources Environmental Science or related field
  • 05 years relevant field experience
  • Experience in some or all the following activities: wetland delineation experience wetland and stream quality assessments wetland and stream mitigation design and monitoring endangered species habitat assessments and rare plant surveys
  • Experience with state wetlands regulatory permitting programs in NY as well as Clean Water Act Section 401/404 permitting
  • Permitting experience in NY surrounding states a plus
  • Experience in operating field sampling equipment including GPS
  • Must possess a valid New York State drivers license
  • Experience with statistics ArcGIS or AutoCAD

  • Must be able to work in environmental conditions including office environment field environment construction site environment; exposure to dust noise grease smoke fumes gases heat cold and inclement weather conditions when working in the field.
