Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to contribute to our mission to improve our patients health and their is a hybrid role for our office in London (UK) or Sofia (BG)

What you will do

Develop scalable & reliable systems

• Develop core functionality for our own customer facing and internal products systems and data platforms and ecommerce capabilities using modern frameworks

• Develop extensible platforms and architectures that make it possible to quickly and efficiently launch new products and lines of business

• Develop and maintain integrations with third party systems

• Develop the APIs powering the web & mobile platforms for our product portfolio

Drive impact in a team environment

• Youll work with other software engineers designers QAs product managers business stakeholders and domain experts

• Youll drive impact and own your work end2end from scoping & planning architectural design decisions implementation and testing to production deployment and operations.

• At least 5 years of commercial experience as a software engineer or equivalent

• Familiarity with scalable cloud architectures design patterns and best practices

• Practical experience with CI/CD and IaC (Infrastructureascode)

• Readiness to quickly learn PHP (our main BE language for the moment)

• Experience with databases & data management practices relational databases & search engines

• Experience with TDD and testable code unit / integration / performance testing

• Great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way to nonengineering teammates

• Ability to zoom in and out be comfortable with getting into the relevant lowlevel details while also making the optimal tradeoffs for achieving the big picture goals

• This is a hybrid role and you need to be based in London (UK) or Sofia (BG) so you can be in the office 3 days per week
