Primary Purpose of Position:
This position has the responsibility of promoting coordinating and managing rental events occurring at the venues of Fort Fisher State Historic Site. The positions main responsibility is to coordinate and direct NCDNproved rental events for the site from the point of contact to event conclusion and cleanup.

Fort Fisher State Historic Site is part of the N.C. Division of Historic Sites and preserves and interprets the military history of the Civil War and World War Two in southeastern North Carolina including battlefield earthwork fortifications the strategic importance of Wilmingtons blockaderunning trade to the Confederate war effort and memorial grounds.

The Division of State Historic Sites was established to coordinate administration of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources State Historic Sites Program which includes 27 historic sites across North Carolina and Division offices located in Raleigh. Veterans and National Guard Preference
Applicants seeking Veterans Preference must attach a DD Form 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty along with the state application.
Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach an NGB 23A (RPAS) along with the state application if they are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing.
Applicants who are former member of either the NC Army National Guard or the NC Air National Guard with honorable discharge and six years of creditable service must attach a copy of the DD 256 or NGB 22 along with the state application.
