POSITION
NBS Retail/Rental Technician - Hakuba
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Impeccable customer service
- Can-DO! attitude
- Accurate set up of rental ski/ boards
- Boot Fitting
- Clothing Helmet & Accessory fitting
- General maintenance of rental fleet/ equipment
- Retail Sales
- Cash/ Credit processing & balancing
- Snow Clearing & store presentation maintenance
- Answering telephone email and in house guest inquiries
- Promoting other & NBS services
- Providing guests with key local information & assistance
- Being a reliable local contact for guests during their stay
- Promoting tours/activities such as snowmobiling & cultural tours
- Assisting Hotel Operations when necessary (rubbish removal and basic cleaning/ maintenance)
- Occasionally acting as a host for our guests on cultural tours
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
One of below experience helps our team
- Personal customer service experience (face-to-face)
- Travel/tourism experience
- Outdoor education or activity guiding
- Resort/seasonal work experience
- Ski or Snowboard experience
- Cash/ Credit Card Processing/ Handling
- Computerised rental system experience such as Easy Rent In-Touch Sports Rental RTP etc.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Needs to be English speaker Business level or higher
- Other language skill are not essential but welcome
DRIVING LICENSE
Must have one of below license
- Driving license issued from Switzerland Germany France Belgium Monaco Taiwan.
- International Driving Permit (IDP)
VISA:
- Must have or be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa or meet the requirements for a Sponsored working visa.
SKI/ SNOWBOARD ABILITY:
- You dont NEED to be a red hot rider but at minimum a moderate ski/ snowboard ability is required as it directly relates to experience & product knowledge.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE:
- Hourly rates will be discussed at interview
- Subsidised lift pass
- Subsidised staff accommodation available
EMPLOYMENT DATES:
- Early December 2025 Early March 2026
As with any seasonal work hours and dates of work are snow and customer dependent. Please understand that you are required to be flexible with work dates and hours.
Start date and end date can be discussed at interview. We can be flexible.
WORKING HOURS:
- Average of 35 - 40 hours per week during peak season. This kind of work is obviously snow & customer dependent so you should expect to work reduced hours during the first and last few weeks of the season.
