Position Summary
The Furniture Assemblermust be knowledgeable in moving procedures such as moving office equipment dismantling and reassembling of furniture the handling of furniture and office equipment and the assembly. As directed by the ProjectManager laborers shall load unload move and place furniture supplies and equipment boxed or unboxed crated or uncrated and any other related duties involved with moving services. The laborers shall remove all move related debris.All employees involved in furniture moving must be physically able to perform the assigned work and be certifiably trained in lifting and safety procedures related to moving. Key Tasks
Following is a general list of tasks falling into the areas of responsibility of the Furniture Assembler/Mover.It attempts to present a comprehensive but not complete listing of potential assignments that may be undertaken.- Knowledgeable in moving procedures particularly related to moving office equipment dismantling and reassembling of furniture.
- Experience with handling of furniture and office equipment
- Proficiency in assembling and installing furniture including padding packing and/or crating as needed
- Transport and deliver property to specific locations
- Experience hanging bulletin boards pictures dry erase boards and window coverings
- Efficiency with light labor and shoveling.
Education and Training Requirements:- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
- 6 months experience working as a general laborer or mover

- Understand & Complete Tasks Under direct supervision able to follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned
- Team Orientation & Interpersonal highly motivated teamplayer with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization.
- Communication able to effectively express self verbally in a diplomatic empathetic and tactful manner
- The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- The ability to walk on terrain and surfaces that may be far uneven or temporary
- The ability to regularly sit stand walk talk and hear
- The ability to frequently use hands to finger handle or feel
- The ability to occasionally climb balance stoop kneel squat or reach
- The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must pass background check drug screen and federal security clearance processes.
